The strand of hair
on my face

feels like a benediction.

Orangey yellow truck lights

flash in the rugged daybreak

reminding me of spessartites.

Metro people

fill every sense

with their smells, dreams, hopes.

The newish element

this week

a DECISION to do what I can.

Every day, every way.

Not to wait, to pine, to yearn,

nor wait. But act. Now.

Not cower
before the components of reality

be they beliefs, fears, routines

or stubborn carrots

refusing to be peeled

peacefully.
